An R Panel (where “R” stands for “Ribbed”) is a multi-use, exposed fastener metal wall and roof panel that was originally designed for pre-engineered metal buildings. Since its inception, its use has expanded into commercial, industrial, agricultural, and even residential applications — particularly in the southwestern United States where it is widely used for barndominiums, shops, and residential metal roofing.
An R Panel Roll Forming Machine is an industrial machine that continuously produces R panels – one of the most popular exposed fastener metal roofing and siding profiles in North America, particularly for commercial, industrial, and post‑frame (pole barn) buildings.
The “R” stands for “Ribbed” , referring to the panel’s distinctive trapezoidal ribs. R panels were originally designed for pre‑engineered metal buildings (PEMB) but are now widely used for warehouses, agricultural structures, barndominiums, and even residential metal roofing.

🎯 PLC Automatic Control – Siemens / Delta touch screen interface. One operator sets length, quantity, and batch production. ±1.5 mm cutting precision.
🔪 High‑Accuracy Cutting – Cr12Mov / SKD11 hardened blades with hydraulic servo tracking cut. Burr‑free, square cuts every time. Panels fit perfectly on site.
🏗️ PBR Integration – Purlin bearing rib formed inline as part of the main machine. No secondary operation needed. Ready for roof applications where contractors need extra support.
🌍 USA/Canada Ready – Customized to local power: 480V/60Hz, 220V/60Hz, 380V/50Hz. UL‑recognized components available. Plug‑and‑play installation.
🏭 Direct Factory Support – We manufacture, not trade. Factory pricing, direct quality control, fast technical support, no middlemen.
🔄 Multi‑Profile Options – Double‑layer configuration available. Produce R panel + another profile on one machine. Maximize your product range with one investment.
PBR stands for “purlin bearing rib.” The PBR version adds a bearing leg that rests on the roof purlin for extra support during installation. PBR panels are typically used for roofing; non-PBR R panels are more common for wall applications. PBR is considered the roof panel, while R panels are generally used for wall panels.
R panel has taller ribs (1¼″ vs. ¾″) and wider rib spacing (12″ vs. 9″), both with 36″ coverage. R panel is made in thicker gauges (26ga or heavier) and is stronger – used for commercial/industrial projects. AG panel is more affordable and lighter – used for agricultural/residential.
Galvanized steel, Galvalume®, PPGI (pre‑painted), aluminum. Coil width approximately 43 inches.
